appshook - integrations with Amplitude

Amplitude integrations

Appshook makes it easy for app marketers to send messages that matter. By importing behavioral cohorts from Amplitude Analytics on a daily basis, AmpliSend provides ready-made segments of users that you can monitor and target with just a click. Creating email drills from Amplitude Cohorts is also only a matter of a few clicks. Implement effective, multi-channel campaigns that combine retargeting in Facebook, emails, in-app messages, and notifications.

1. List behavioral cohorts created in Amplitude

We recommend creating behavioral cohorts in Amplitude according to level of app engagement since registration or first use.

Segmentation in behavioral cohorts

    For example, for a subscription-premium app :

  • Cold Users – users who registered but performed almost no actions in your app.
  • Engaged (according to a specific event) – users who performed a minimal set of actions.
  • Fans – spent some time in the app (maybe between 5 to 10 minutes playing with the various features).
  • Inactive Subscribers – users who converted to a subscription or subscription trial, but who have not performed any actions. These subscribers are probably the most likely to churn.
  • Active Subscribers – users who are subscribed and effectively using the app.

2. Your Daily KPIs posted on Slack - Cohort2Slack

Post your Amplitude KPIs into Slack

Bringing information to your team is critical to keep everyone laser-focused on your company’s main KPIs. There is no place like Slack for this. With AmpliSend, you can post cohort progress directly to your Slack channels.

3. Automatic grouping of cohorts into arrays

Once you have defined your cohorts in Amplitude, appshook helps you keep track of how cohorts are evolving over time. Is your percentage of Cold Users versus Fans going up or down? What happened with a cohort of users on a given day? How many Cold Users were you able to convert into Fans?

evolution of Amplitude cohorts over time

appshook will automatically group all cohorts from Amplitude into an array with the same name and with the following hashtags: #D0, #D1, #D2, #D3, #D4-, #D5

Example: [ ‘cohortname #D0’, ‘cohortname #D1’, ‘cohortname #D2-D3, ‘cohortname #D4-D5’, ‘cohortname #D7’]

appshook will save the values each day for each cohort in order to provide an analysis of cohort evolution over time.
